Brenden Keegan was born in and has lived in Lowell Massachusetts for most of his life. He was manager of the Publications Department for a defense contractor in the region for many years. In the process of developing and writing technical manuals for the military he spent a lot of time in the Art Department, working with the artists who created Pen & Ink line drawings for the manuals. It was here he first became interested in Pen & Ink as an art form. He has been creating his own Pen & Ink drawings since 1990 when he took his first class at the Manchester Institute of Art in Manchester NH with Pamela Kennedy, a well known Pen & Ink Artist, now working in Portland Oregon. Brenden has also been a photographer most of his life. He specializes in landscape photography, and this endeavor has led him throughout Europe, Canada and the United States. He now concentrates on the New England Area. He is inspired by this beautiful area, from quaint villages in the countryside to the rugged coast, and attempts to share this with his viewers through his lens and pen.
