Wildflowers

The wildflower series started at the request of some friends who were looking for small prints of local wildflowers and wondered if I could add some color to my Pen & Inks. The result has been one piece per year, each one a bit experimental, as I try different ways to bring in color (including colored ink, watercolor washes and colored pencil) to highlight the flower, usually against a monochrome background. Most of the species are from the New England landscape with an occasional deviation, like the Indian Paintbrush - the Texas version, rather than the Orange Hawkweed which carries the same common name in New England! Each image is 5” x 5”. Earlier prints are unsigned. However, the more recent works are available as Limited Edition signed prints. Prints are available matted white 9" x 9".
